About

GDEdu is an educational platform. It was built in classrooms, lecture theatres, and seminars, through decades of teaching, preparing courses, and carrying out academic research at university level.

Our programmes sit alongside academic study, providing students with the mental frameworks to apply what they learn in any context. GDEdu equips students with the entrepreneurial mindset and practical tools to develop their thinking, solve real problems and move forward with purpose.

GDEdu works with young people and university level students and is available to deliver workshops and talks for schools, universities, and organisations.

In a rapidly changing world, the ability to think critically, solve problems, and build with purpose is no longer optional. It is essential.

With over 25 years of expertise in business education across the UK and Canada, Gurjit has spent her career teaching business to both undergraduate and postgraduate students in universities, alongside designing courses and programmes that bridge academic theory with applied practice. Year after year, she observed a consistent pattern: bright and capable young women leaving university without the agency, entrepreneurial skills, and real-world frameworks to match their potential.

That conviction is grounded in both experience and academic inquiry. During her research at the University of London, Gurjit conducted in-depth case studies of female entrepreneurs across London and New York, examining the strategies they used to build ventures in two of the world’s most competitive cities. That research gave her an intimate understanding of what holds women back, what propels them forward, and what happens when they are given the right environment to truly build.

Through that lived experience and research, Gurjit came to understand that entrepreneurship, gender, and education are deeply intertwined, and that meaningful change at the intersection of all three is where the real work begins.

As a fervent believer in the transformative power of lifelong learning, her career has been spent not simply teaching business but also on mentoring young founders, helping them develop practical skills, strategic thinking, and agency to step forward and lead.
InnovateHERed is the flagship programme of GDEdu. It is a structured pathway designed specifically for young women, informed by a female-centred pedagogical approach to entrepreneurial learning.

’’It is not simply another course or programme. It is a meticulously designed pathway for ambitious young women who are ready to rise, to innovate, and to become the architects of their own futures.’’
